Freshman wrestling

Wrestling season is a difficult time for moms. Watching your baby get roughed up on the mat each week is no easy task. Fortunately, Mitch seems to have a knack for it, and did most of the "roughing up"!

McCain Family, est. 1985

I woke up to roses, thank you

Looking very sultry, Mr McCain!

"Just Babies"

26 years, that's a long time! 25 was exciting, and felt like an accomplishment, a landmark...26 just makes me feel old! Nevertheless, there's nobody else I would rather have grown up with, shared a family with, and have as my partner for eternity. I love Ron McCain.
Last night we ditched the kids, and went to dinner at Vin de Set downtown. The best part was reminiscing about our wedding day and trying to squeak out the memories. (It has been 26 yrs!)

"Snowpocolypse 2011!"

Father/son pep talk

Hey, old man...I thought you liked the snow!

Yes, that's what they were calling it...The entire town of STL shut down this week in anticipation of the "big one". 24/7 broadcasts of poor reporters out in the elements waiting for the calamity to strike. Malls shut down, grocery stores closed, Blues hockey canceled-wait...I thought they needed ice. Schools closed for days on end. So here's what really happened. A little rain, sleet for half a day, and then about 4-5 inches of snow. Are you kidding? We bought a generator, a kerosene heater, a week's worth of food (that we had to fight for off the empty shelves of Walmart)! How disappointing. No emergency, not even a little inconvenience. Other than two teenagers laying around the house all week.Poor Dad, he was in crisis mode-and loving every minute. hehe. Well, when the next one comes around we will be READY. So, come on over.
